A jury has found a Perth dentist, Farzam Mehrabi, guilty of drugging and raping women he met through dating apps.
The WA District Court had heard that Farzam Mehrabi put drugs into his victims’ drinks without their knowledge. He then sexually assaulted them.
Mehrabi’s trial started in early August. The dentist is facing 22 charges. These include sexual penetration without consent, stupefying in order to commit an indictable offence, and impeding someone’s normal breathing.
The offences occurred in February and March in 2022.
He was found guilty of stupefying and raping three women, raping two further women and stupefying another.
